I'm watching a dvd set called Time-Life R&RHOF collection. On the "bonus performance disc" (& perhaps elsewhere) Jeff Beck just smokes with a 4 piece.
The bass player is a female who couldn't be more than 24. I don't know whether to be more impressed with her looks (& she is NOT glammed out at all but amazingly beautiful) or her amazing playing (she's definitely a musical peer of Beck, which is saying ALOT).
Does anyone have a clue who she is? I could post a screen cap if needed.

I've got the cd & I really like it. Sounds like another music dvd to buy!. She really is that talented (& was apparently only 22 when this HOF dvd set was done.......... WOW!)

Geff, her solo on 'Cause We've Ended As Lovers is jawdropping. Just when you think she's done laying it down she kicks it up a knotch. There are times when Beck is just in awe and smiling ear to ear.
I first saw Tal in Jeff's band on the PBS pledge fundraiser broadcast of Clapton's 2007 Crossroads Guitar Festival concert. She would have been just shy of her 21st birthday then. And sometime later, maybe it was the R&R H of F induction. Looks like she played 3 years with Jeff.
She is a mind blower for sure, and like you say, extremely pleasant on the eyes, ha. Good article on Wiki, and who all she's played with:
Here's a story of a show from 2009 where Beck and Wilkenfeld team up to play a bass solo together on her guitar. Early on, his fingers get in the way and she knocks them away. Don't mess with her! There's a video included in the story.
Is this the performance you are talking about, Geff? Beck brings Jimmy Page out during the set to play "Immigration Song." Apparently it was Wilkenfeld that thought up that idea and they didn't tell the producers beforehand.

I don't think so (Wilkenfeld is wearing totally different clothes, but damn that's cool!). Having Page play only rhythm to Beck's lead also sums up my 21st century opinion about the relative skill levels of the 2. I think Beck is the greatest living 60's rock guitarist by a mile. I was was only mildly into his music until the last few years, but the older the man gets, the better he gets (He doesn't seem to age either; Dorian Gray?? )
Interesting of all my browsers only Opera will play it, & I have FF & Pale Moon set to ask about Flash. Thanks for posting though!
Your 1st link was funny, though my guess is that was planned as part of the show.
