This topic popped into my head a couple of days ago and, since it doesn't look it's been discussed here, I'm starting a new thread for my fellow IMWANers. These are songs that either include the names of actors & screen legends in the title or were inspired by them. And don't take the term "screen legends" too seriously...any actor or actress will suffice.

"Joan Crawford" - Blue Öyster Cult
"Celluloid Heroes" - The Kinks
"Bette Davis Eyes" - Kim Carnes
"Jean Harlow's Return" - Bland Simpson (although I first heard it via Don Dixon's version)
"Candle In The Wind" - Elton John
"Rosanna" - Toto
"Clint Eastwood" - Gorillaz
"2 H.B." - Roxy Music
"Man On The Moon" - REM

So, how many did I forget? Probably a lot.

Heard "Candle In The Wind" the other day on XM Radio and thought about how Elton changed the song for Di. Still love this original pean to all things Marilyn Monroe. From a young man in the twenty second row........

Would Madonna's Vogue count? :) It's using the "inspired by" definition a bit loosely.

Good call. How could I miss the biggest screen legend that will likely appear on this list?

"Vera" - Pink Floyd

Not sure if this counts since Vera Lynn was mostly known as a singer, but since she also acted in several films...and since this is my thread...I'll allow it.
