The circumstances leading up to it were funny. Ken started chatting with me on facebook one Saturday afternoon and said, "Hey, Gary and I are doing a show later this afternoon. You up for it?"

Thus begins my podcast career.

Maybe we should start an IMWAN podcast...??

Merciless? Jealous! Somebody on one of the guitar boards I participate (lightly) on is doing a Kiss podcast called Pod Of Thunder. They're going through the entire Kiss catalog, song-by-song in nearly random order (they decided "Strutter" had to be the first show). And I thought, "Why don't I know a couple people who'd do something cool like that with me?"

Cool deal, Chris - going to have to download it and listen!

I've only listened to a portion of it, but I don't hear this - he doesn't sound anything like a fat baby in a diaper inspiring love.

Well, he doesn't sound like a fat baby. Not sure about the diaper, though. I'll have to listen closely to see if he grunts.

Actually it's more like, "Whoever doesn't like The Elder can leave...now!!"

That album does divide KISS fans like you wouldn't believe. But I love it, with all it's over-the-top pretentiousness. I'll make sure to buy you a copy, Steve, when Hoffman does a gold disc of this!

They did an Elder show a while back.

Another KISS podcast that's a lot of fun is KISStory Science Theatre. They're three lifelong KISS fans and friends who are Canadians who pick a KISS topic, start drinking beers and it gets funnier and funnier as the show unfolds. They did a show based on this premise: "What if Disney bought KISS?" I was nearly in tears from laughing so hard at one point.

They had podcasts back in 2006? I might need to get one of those emulators--I can only play versions that are MP3.0 or later, unless my old Napstertrola still works and I can find it buried in the hall closet, probably with a bunch of HD DVD gear.

Just kidding--but I do want to hear this KISS podcast, just not sure when.
