"Are you someone alone in thinking that a seemingly universally loved band just isn’t that good? We’re here to offer a voice for you. I Just Don’t Like is a brand new segment that highlights people who don’t get the hype surrounding bands that everyone else tends to lose their minds over."

I don't hate them, but I never really got Nirvana.

I respect Cobain and know that he did speak to generation x or whatever the label was that was applied to the kids back then, but it just sounded like mush to me. Angry mush. And yes, I know that Cobain was angry and had his demons, but I've never been able to appreciate downer rock or angry music.

I will say that "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Come As You Are" are pretty good pop/rock/punk/grunge songs and I can see why they were hits.

I really liked Nirvana when they were current. Their music have not aged well for me. I consider Unplugged to be there best.

I just don't like Radiohead but I do like Jack White.

Back in the day I didn't care for Nirvana but I really like their music now. Courtney Love, I just don't like and doubt I ever will.

I'm assuming Radiohead must be the other Flash you out up. I never really listened to them, there image bugged me for reasons I don't really know.

This Hole album is a classic in my book. After this, not much.

I liked the one hit (was it called Doll Parts, I think), but that's about it.

Nirvana's one of those bands to which certain fans of a particular age feel a notably emotional attachment. I can understand that sort of personal attachment to an artist or album, even if I don't necessarily share that particular attachment. But I mostly think of Nirvana's catalog as a half-dozen or so radio hits and a ton of album tracks indistinguishable from one another.

What I really like and appreciate about Nirvana is how they played a major role in finally killing off 80's pop/rock. If they had managed to do that about five years earlier, maybe I'd like them more.

I like Nirvana. Saw their Museum display in Seattle last year. You missed it Geff.

I'm of the same mind. Could never get into them. I like a few of their songs, but nothing that compels me to hear their whole catalogue.

My list of this would probably be considered more outrageous than yours.

Not a band, and I'm sorry the way his life ended, but never could stand Michael Jackson's music.

I didn't like the Jackson 5 either; in fact they were the first Motown act I truly detested. Prior, I had largely been a Motown fan.

I suspect that's an age thing again; that I was slightly older then the J5's target audience. I do remember thinking there music was for young children.

The other thing I just don't like about Nirvana is when Kurt Cobain is in "best guitarist" polls. Even if I loved his songwriting, voice, or lyrics, there is no possible way he can be considered a great guitarist!
