No reports are up yet, but I just learned that noted mastering Engineer Doug Sax passed away. If you go to http://themasteringlab.com/ there's a memorial picture. I know he worked on some of the Pink Floyd CDs over the years, among many others.

One of the best in the business. I can't even imagine how many discs I have with his work. Whenever I pondered about a CD purchase and I see his name it was only piece of evidence I needed that validated the purchase.
Thanks Mr. Sax for the hours upon hours of enjoyment you have provided for in my listening sessions.

He mastered The Doors/ The Doors and LA Woman, he mastered Floyd's The Wall, he mastered the Stones Sticky Fingers and The Who's Who's Next etc (check out his Wilipedia).......... a Titan.  RIP.
