At this point in my life I don't buy new music anymore unless it's by a legendary performer (see Cat Stevens). Today's pop music just doesn't cut it for me. I'm better off just getting one of those Now 999 collections to catch up with the "hit" tunes and call it a day.

I got a cheap two-year subscription to Billboard last Jan/Feb, so I get two years of not having to scramble around trying to find the year-end issue. Yippee!
