Tandyn Almer, who wrote "Along Comes Mary" that the Association had a big hit with way back when, has died. Here's a very nice obit with lots of information about him (I knew nothing about him) from the Washington Post:

When I try to click on the Washington Post link I get a "page not found" message. I was curious if that article put to rest the question about "Along Comes Mary" being a drug song. I never really thought so but maybe I'm naive.

Thanks for letting me know it didn't work. It quotes Almer as saying that "Mary" was marijuana.
