Pete, I love the Zebra DVD but my big complaint about the set list was no songs from 3.V, which I absolutely love. One of my best memories when I was friendly with them and used to see them at Clube Bene in NJ a lot was a night where I asked Randy if they could play "Hard Living Without You," having never heard it live before...and they obliged. Some fans weren't thrilled with the slick production of that album, but I loved it, and song for song it's as good as their debut.

That album tanked and it's probably due to how much more slick as you said), melodic and AOR it was than the aerlier albums.

I thought it was OK but some songs I thought were really bad. It's been since high school since I heard it though. Again-it was the vocals that destroyed it for me, but I remember liking "Time" and "Better Not Call" quite a bit.

"Time" is on the best of CD and it is a good song.

It's ironic how a thread about a prog cruise was taken over by a discussion of what's considered the least "prog" artist involved (is anyone here even considering this cruise?). I totally understand why most people wouldn't love 3.V even if you liked their earlier stuff, but it came out in one of those pivotal years in my life and I have a huge emotional connection to it. I know I'm preaching to the sort-of converted, but here's the song "Time" (which has obvious Zeppelin influence in the acoustic guitars and some typically great lead guitar):

Never heard Zebra. Was carrying their King Biscuit official release for awhile & it was fairly popular.
