Just felt like posting this. Back in the 80's, I remember seeing a Fleetwood Mac acetate for sale in Goldmine magazine, a Stevie song called 'Smile At You'. Whoever sold it ended up getting several hundreds of $ for it. Then I, ahem, was able to eventually hear a copy of it, and it's a really great angry venomous rocker by Ms. Nicks. Supposedly originally recorded for but left off the Mirage album in 1982, it finally saw the legit light of day in a newer version on the Say You Will album from 2003.

So I was surfing around the Buckingham-Nicks fan site

http://www.buckinghamnicks.net/

playing all sorts of goodie MP3's of theirs (go to the multimedia page), then remembering 'Smile At You' and not seeing it, I googled it, and found 2 versions on YouTube. The version below is 99% of the version I heard back in the 80's, it's the same fundamental recording with just a few tweaks. But czech it out, it's fab! I wish this version would eventually come out on a Mac rarities box:

Word has it that both "Mirage" and Tango will be reissued and remastered later this year. I anticpate bonus tracks like the one you mentioned to be included.

there are quite a few leftovers form "tango" if i recall correctly.

let's hope that they don't mess with the sound of "tango", one of the nicest sounding CD's that i own.

i STILL can't believe that lindsay buckingham produced the absolutely horrible sounding "say you will".

This posted version is so much better than the one on SAY YOU WILL. I can't even really listen to that one - something about the instrumentation drives me nuts! I like this one!
