Well, why not?

My heart has an ultra-clean bill of health one year later!

But, I had to get a root canal done on a tooth on Moday and then Thursday was in hell from what turned out to be my first (and hopefully final) kidney stone. Thought it was severe back spasms, but holy shit-no! It was a biggin' at 5mm, so I got surgery yesterday and I'm home sore, tired, weak and feeling lousy irritation-but I'm home and hopefully the burning and pain will be gone in a few day as they said.

From the time I was up for work Thursday at 5:45am to 3:45am I was awake and could not sleep in the hospital (who can?). My fun continues but enough already! And now I come back to read Geff love MP3s-what?

Well, that's all good! The heart is the main thing, so congrats!

I've been through kidney, gall, and probably sabbath stones - all terribly painful but gone soon enough.

Whatever you've been doing for your ticker - keep it up!

Thanks guys-this doesn't even include the personal hell I've travelled since March but I'm still here.

DanO-did you pass or have your stone removed? They said it was 50-50 if I could pass it and gave the Ok for surgery but now I have the soreness but feel I did the right thing. Nice one on the Sabbath Stones-it hurt to laugh but it was worth it.

Great to hear that your health has been fine for a year (minus this week)......and hopefully the other personal issue gets better as well.

As you will see Chris, my recovery begins with postings on here and my blog! Never stop writing I say!

5mm? Hell - I could pass that and make it rattle on the way out!

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Pete!

TMI alert....

My first kidney stone, which I had when I was in high school, was a big one and had to be removed. Back then they had to do it via ureteroscopy -- I'm not sure what was worse, the pain from the stone or having a scope stuck up my privates. Anyway, since then I've passed literally dozens of stones of various sizes, with little/no pain. Only one other time did I need a surgical procedure to remove one; thankfully they can now dissolve stones via ultrasound.

I am in pain from what they did with the surgery but the pain from the stone was insane. Going the bathroom is awful right now but I'm told in 3-4 days that pain and blood will be fading. The stent needs to come out they out in which is in the TMI category so that should be fun!

The human body is not a temple (of doom it is).

Pete, I'm glad your heart is healthy, and that your stone is gone. Sending you prayers, or karma, or whatever you like on the personal stuff.
