I have a Japanese import CD of this amazing record, but it sounds like absolute crap. It literally sounds as if it was dubbed from a cassette tape. In 2011 Samson Records put out a "Teaser Deluxe":

But it's not the original album. It features extended versions of songs, alternate versions, etc.

When are they just going to put out a decent remastered CD (from the original source tapes) of the original album with liner notes and such?? I'm tired of all the imports, bogus deluxe editions, etc. It's quite clear that the Bolin Estate must not own the rights to this album or something, because it has been repackaged in so many terrible forms it's been ridiculous. What's the story behind all this?

I heard that the master tapes have gone missing. Would love to hear this remastered from those tapes.I loved this album and would buy it in a NY minute if it became available.
