Hail Atlantis!!!!
7/9 - Roger Waters' The Wall, in North Carolina. My son likes Pink Floyd so we're planning on surprising him by going to the show while we're on vacation there.
Feb. 7-The Darkness at the Trocadero Theatre in Philly
Feb. 14-Adam Ant at the Trocadero (got these for ym wife for Christmas and it's on Valentine's Day-she loves Adam and I've always liked him. I just hope he doesn't go all batty!)
I'd like to see:
Black Keys/Arctic Monkeys at Wells Fargo Center in March
Rammstein at same venue in April
but likely money woes will put those ideas to a holt.

Interesting that Bjork is playing NY's Hall Of Science in Queens. General admission seating costs $170 each ticket! If you don't mind standing for a few hours....$75 a ticket.
She'd be a pip to see but at the cost of $170?

Interesting tidbit if this applies to you: Today was the AMEX pre-sale. I was interested in the second price level ($90 incl fees). I kept getting offered the last 7-10 rows of the arena, side view. There was also a "AMEX preferred" option, but it said you needed to have only certain AMEX cards (Gold etc), I have the JetBlue card. The password is apparently the customer service number on the back of the card. I tried inputting mine - didn't work. I Googled the gold card customer service number and entered that. I got great seats, dead center just off the floor. Same price. I thought there might be a fail safe at checkout, but it went through with my AMEX card. Score!
Good it worked out for you. Pre-sales involving Ticketbastard/Live Nation pretty much purposely never make good seats available....and in cetrain venues like the Beacon Theater, seats are always bad. With the economy and ticket prices, I usually now wait for the general date.....most acts I go see don't sell out in 2 minutes.
I only do pre-sale for general admission shows.

I do agree with that generally. Don't think I could've done better than the "Preferred Seating" gimmick, though.

I've got tickets to see Demi Lovato at the Florida Strawberry Festival on March 2.
Also, don't tell my wife, but on February 3rd I'm going to try and snag a couple of tickets to see Eddie Vedder in Clearwater in May. Valentine's Day gift--she's a PJ freak.
I saw the Gigantour (Megadeth , Motorhead , Volbeat and Lacuna Coil) last night at what used to be the Felt Forum . I think it's just called the Theater At MSG now . I gotta say I was very impressed with Lacuna Coil and Volbeat . I have heard their names but I have never heard their music . I'm gonna be looking on Amazon for them today . Motorhead was Motorhead , loud , fast and in your face . I mainly went to see them so to me their set list was way too short , maybe 45 minutes at most . Musically Megadeth sounded very good but Dave Mustaine's voice is shot and barely audible . Another short set , they played for an hour and 10 minutes .
Caught 4 of Buddy Guy's shows at his club this month...for known upcoming stuff...Smith Westerns this week, Roger Waters in June, going to Hard Rock Calling in London to see Springsteen, and will be at Lolla again.

Stumbled upon Smith Westerns at FYF Fest last year in LA and really loved them.

Isley Brothers on March 2 at LVH (formerly Las Vegas Hilton).
George Clinton/Con Funk Shun/SOS Band/Lakeside on March 23 at Planet Hollywood, Vegas. (I think Don Cornelius would approve of those shows).
Popular local band Yellow Brick Road doing a classic rock covers show with lasers and a full symphony orchestra under the stars at Henderson Pavillion ($15 per seat) on April 7.
A big screen showing of Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times" with full symphony orchestra accompaniment at the above outdoor venue ($10 per seat) on June 1. They did this last year with "City Lights" and it was amazing.
