Since this is a holiday week, a travel day, and not many will be around, I thought I'd put a bigger song up.
I wonder if this one will be a clean sweep?

Don't think I've ever heard a non-Stones version but, again, I'm going to go out on a limb to say theirs is the best.
And, wow, Motorhead, huh? I'm curious to hear that one.

I've only heard the Stones and Tina Turner's versions, but I feel comfortable enough in going with the Stones anyway.

Tough for me - I love Frampton's version on "Comes Alive" so I picked that over the Stones.

With all due respect, there's no question about it- The Stones.

Never cared for this song as done by the Stones but I do love Honeywagon's bluegrass version.

On one of their live cd collections - Live 1974
The Sensational Alex Harvey Band - Jumpin Jack Flash - not even the Stones ever put that much energy into it.

Rolling Stones.
And the Stones also did the worst version of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" (or most annoying, anyway)--on the live "Voodoo Lounge' video from 1994, recorded in Miami, Whoopi Goldberg joined the Stones onstage to provide some sort of backing vocals. Or something.
See, way back in the 1980's, Whoopi Goldberg starred in a movie called "Jumpin' Jack Flash". I saw it on cable once, but have absolutely no recollection of what the plot might have been, other than--unlike in the song--Whoopi was never crowned with a spike right through her head.

Tie between the Stones & Johnny Winter. I chose JW cause I figured no one else would. And........ Live has got to be one of the greatest live albums ever.

Thelma Houston's version is really really good. I'm debating.

I didn't know the Stranglers covered it. They've done some great covers but I can't quite imagine that one.

The funniest part of that pretty bad movie was Whoopi trying to decipher Mick Jagger's singing because she had to transcribe the lyrics.

I have Aretha's version on 45 (that Keith and Ronnie played on) and it's awful.
Original by 2000 Light Years.
