I've never been completely convinced by Colin Hanks, but yeah Alison Tolman, Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman should definitely get some accolades.

I recorded the series, but a couple eps got deleted, so I haven't started watching. Keeping my fingers crossed that they'll show up on demand or be repeated, but so far, no luck.

Really? They seem to be constantly repeated on FX and they're definitely available On Demand on Comcast.

DirecTV had four eps at a time on demand, but I didn't realize that 2 and 3 deleted until 3 had dropped off the on demand list. I'm expecting a marathon one of these days, and I have enough space to keep the others around for a while. I have no doubt they'll rerun everything - or it'll pop up on Netflix.

I DVRd the FX series The Americans and have started catching up on this one too. FX really has stepped up its game lately.
2 series coming up that look good are The Strain and Tyrant.

VH1 Classic has finally gotten around to I Love the 2000s (which should've been called I Love the Aughts), airing this week, so those into instant nostalgia take note.

American Idol announced they are keeping the same cast despite the ratings decline the series continues to suffer from. The show really should be killed off but I guess FOX still makes a decent buck. Last season was the first one I did not watch one episode.

all of the "talent" (talentless" depending how you look at it) shows have become vehicles for the judges and emcees to further their careers, not about the performers.

i believe this started when howard stern agreed to do 'america's got talent'.

my wife had on 'rising star' for about 2 or 3 acts the other night and all of them were totally wretched. at what point did screaming for an extended period of time become singing?

The Voice will change its name to The Screech this season on NBC.

Not us, we are officially out, after the way they dragged it out last summer to the wretched non-conclusion. Fool me once ... :ohno:

Didn't catch that and I'm not sure if I will continue on with the show. Looking forward to another wacky Summer of Big Brother though. The cast looks appropriately cookie cutter casting as always. They will all hate each other by week 3. :)

Did not catch that. I'm committed to the first episode, and that's it. Unless the first ep blows me away, I'm done. I liked the show early, but the more it went on, the less I liked it. I'm going to watch the first ep just to see the resolution of the Barbie story, and that's about where my interest ends, at least right now.

One thing about the Dome, they've kinda painted themselves into a corner because the cast is limited (as they are stuck inside a Dome). Not sure how they can keep up interest.

Zipped through it until last 10 minutes. Suspect I didn't miss much.

Will watch season 2, for now, but if it's sub par, well, it'll likely be dropped.

i watched the entire second season of 'revolution' that way. never missed a thing.

although i must say, 'revolution' may just be the worst TV show ever to get a second season..........'under the dome', however, is running a close second.

I always give Under The Dome as pass as a Summer fancy but it's getting ever hard to give a crap about it. Revolution completely turned me off.
The Following is another I may give up on because the violence actually nauseates me, and I'm not easily nauseated.

I have to say, I preferred Revolution to Under The Dome. I liked the characters better - even the idea - and while the reason for the blackout was somewhat lame, I've yet to see a reason for the dome and suspect it'll be even lamer.

But both shows aren't particularly great, so I'm not surprised anyone would give them a pass.
