Now at Shout Factory TV, the Weird Al TV Show from 1997 that ran on CBS saturday mornings!

This month, Shout! Factory TV is placing the spotlight on The Weird Al Show. Originally airing Saturday mornings on CBS in 1997, this show is really a show within a show. Starring “Weird Al" Yankovic as a wacky TV host living in an underground home, watch him fight for the coveted “Best TV Show Host Award.” Featuring cameos from Fred Willard and Drew Carey, and a performance from the band Radish, this episode is a wild, maniacal ride that shows you just how far Al will go to win. Watch “The Competition” now, or watch the entire series, but remember: it’s always important to play fair!
This would have been big news for Jimbo.

It's very old news. Shout Factory released this series on DVD in 2006. I'm sure Jimbo would've owned it. There was even a thread about it here: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=6838

Back then most ICEers hadn't joined IMWAN yet so he may or may not have seen that post, at least he would have commented. But if it was released on DVD then , he may have bought it at J&R or Discorama. It now sells for $132 bucks!
I also did not make it clear, Shout Factory TV is a streaming app on systems like ROKU so it is new to streaming.

Ah, I don't know if Shout Factory TV is available in Canada, though a lot of their titles are available on Tubi.

I saw a night to remember last night on PBS, Johnny Cash's 1973 concert, and for the most part greatly enjoyed it. It was nice first and foremost seeing him look so young and hearing songs I had never heard before, especially his Gospel road one, was quite cool as well. And the background interview stuff was quite informative as well, like how much he apparently loved the United kingdom. All in all it was one of the better PBS specials as of late.
I’m watching the Apple TV presentation of The Beastie Boys documentary. Really amazing how these guys became famous at the very beginning of rap/hip-hop. Meeting Rick Rubin changed their lives and everyone else since.
While I’m not a rap guy, I’ve always enjoyed Run DMC and The Beasties.
One of my greatest memories is going to Chicago to see the Mets play the Cubs at Wrigley and going to the bar Cubbie Bears and on the p.a. they played No Sleep Till Brooklyn which just ignited the whole bar (which was filled with NYers).

HBO Max Is Launching on Roku, After Device Maker and WarnerMedia Finally Bury the Hatchet
Finally! HBO MAX is coming to Roku starting tomorrow December 17th. That makes things easier for me especially with Wonder Woman 1984 premiering on HBO MAX Christmas Day.

I've seen the first three episodes of the Hustler so far and I gotta say I've been really digging it so far. It's sort of like clue meets trivial pursuit meets the mole. A fun whodunnit trivia show with lies and deception in place. I've only guessed the dude Hustler so far with the two chicks totally fooling me.
