This sounds interesting. Short version is they claim that the discs will play back on any dvd player, & not suffer from age based degradation as per regular dvdr's. LG is supposedly one of the partners. Requires the "M" burner & "M" discs.

My first experience with burned dvdr's many years ago was not good; a couple hundred Ricoh Maxell's went bad within 6 months of burning! I have been very paranoid with burned discs ever since.
