Indeed. Similar arrangement to the Stones version.

Bonus video: 26. Graham Bonney – Supergirl
a very minor and obscure hit that's always bounced around in my head,
by a one hit wonder in the UK, though he had a more fruitful career in Germany.

Did Batgirl ever have a song written about her? Did she ever get her picture on bubblegum cards? Hmmm?

Bonus video: 32. The Who – A Legal Matter
a nice ditty that didn't go anywhere, guess 'cause it was competing against Substitute at the same time...

"Ballad of the Green Berets" topped the Billboard singles chart for 5 weeks in 1966. In 1979, Sadler was convicted of voluntary manslaughter, but avoided a long jail sentence. He died under mysterious circumstances in 1989 in Guatemala--shot in the head during an apparent robbery, although their were claims that he was assassinated for training and funding the Nicaraguan contras.

The karaoke DJ in Denver would always sing this. He did pretty well, too.

3. Manfred Mann – Pretty Flamingo, #1 for 3 wks in May 66, 6 wks in the TT.
Their 6th of 13 Top 10 hits, yowzuh! Too bad there isn't a live or mime video of this, I clearly recall Tom McGuinness playing his black acoustic guitar, holding it up against his chin. Alas this was the first song I learned to play on my first guitar...
