OK, i am pissed.

trying to set up a payment plan through "ALLY" the new GMAC, and i am having a hell of time doing it.

already spoke with 2 people, on my third. the first 2 were not even the USA. that's right people, General Motors corp, Detroit Michigan, has their phone reps located out of the country.

after my third phone call (this ordeal began at 10:00 AM this morning and it now 5:00pm), i think i am on the right track. i spoke with a supervisor, in America, i had to ask to be transferred to the USA, and she has it the fast rack, and hopefully the right track.

i recently found out that you can ask to transferred the USA anytime that you get a foreign agent and they MUST transfer you. i will do this from now on, for sure.

Not sure how true this is, but I heard that DELL has a premium service whereby one is guaranteed to speak with an American representative.

In the last 2 weeks I've had to call XM radio twice ,foreigners both times , they were both annoying but not terrible .
Verizon internet about 4 or 5 times , foreigners that I couldn't understand at all and I became noticeably pissed during the calls . Microsoft , foreigners that spoke good english and Asus computers who to my surprise were Americans . I know we all need to work and feed our families but I would like to speak to someone in my country that speaks my language . I'm sure if I lived in Tokyo , Oslo or Hamburg and made these calls I wouldn't wind up talking to someone in Pakistan . I did not know about the transfer to America thing . From now on I will be asking to be transferred as soon as I have to ask "what did you say ?" .

Funny, i was mentioning that earlier. Had some issues with my mortgage today, & I didn't enjoy s/w someone in India. Grr. Mind you, they wouldn't enjoy having to call here for cs either.

Did you finally get a chance to talk to this lady about ALLY when they re-connected you to the US?

update:

i had to call back, of course, and again a foreigner answered the phone. i immediately asked for someone in the USA and got connected in about 15 seconds. i will never speak with an overseas phone rep again.

BTW - my issue was resolved within about 2 minutes once the american woman got on the phone. she sent me a fax, i faxed it back, done!
