Can't much online about this, but Wild Man Fischer has gone to the great Rhino Records in the sky on Wednesday.

Sad news.
I now hope Gail puts An Evening With Wild Man Fischer back in print.

R.I.P. Larry! One of my holy grail music wants is the 45 he cut in Detroit with the Third Power backing him. I've never seen or heard the record, but one of the guys from the Third Power says it excists. He said that they called him up on a whim and sent him a bus ticket. They were pleasantly surprised when he showed up!

I remember first seeing him on Laugh In - I think the 1st show of the second season. He didn't catch on the way Tiny Tim did. I still have An Evening with Wild Man Fischer - I love the couple of tunes that the Mothers play along with him. FZ's solo on Circle is awesome. I did purchase a CDR of it (too many pops and clicks on my lp). I find the Rhino stuff less interesting. He was one of a kind...RIP.
