Man Citifield is the best! Food wise.
What is the best selection? Back in the 70's when I frequent Yankee Stadium maybe a hotdog?
Shake Shack in centerfield! The best hamburgers in all of NYC! It's a growing chain that started out in Bryant Park. But the stadium has other goodies to like Pat LaFrieda's Filet Mignon sandwich....wow! Do you like Nathan hot dogs? They have em. Like a chicken sandwich? Try Fuku's delicious chicken sandwich.

Wah... with my (likely) permanent medical issues my probably lifetime diet is Salmon + limited/restricted Vegan.
At least I'm losing weight..................
Vegan is good!
Morally, it's awesome.
I am also limited on which Vegan items I can eat, & am still learning. As it is, I finally found a licensed nutritionist about 40 miles from home last month who at least believes in what I'm doing. I first saw 2 near home who didn't believe diet would impact my condition (believe me it does & in a huge way). The other option was to take a medication that has a higher incidence of cancer than the issue I'm dealing with.
It could be a lot worse. Just no more Fried Chicken, burgers, macaroni & cheese, pizza, etc for me. Ever. I even quit a pot a day coffee habit. & fortunately I do like Salmon, though it's a bit pricey & gets boring after a few months!

Tower. You know, this thread is a good all-purpose one for departed record stores, so I've closed our older (and far more "morbid") threads for Tower and J&R.
Morbid? All that means is that I can post updated photos of the J&R site in this thread instead of the other one.
Look, if you want to post pictures of New York City, post the food!

Many record stores are gone from NYC but over in NJ, they still have some nice stores. I was in one last Sunday in Red Bank NJ called Jack's Music Shoppe, filled with new and used CDs and other goodies.
Of course NJ also has Vintage Vinyl in Fords NJ and the Princeton Record Exchage down in Princeton NJ ( a real spend the day diving into bins).
Lucky NJ.
Any ICEers in NJ check these places out?

I was at Princeton a few weeks ago. I'm a regular at Vintage. There's also a great store called Sound Exchange on Rt. 23 in Wayne that has lots of vinyl, lots of CDs and lots of DVDs.I'm there at least once a month and almost always find something that I want.

Which do you consider a better destination, Princeton or Vintage Vinyl?

Here's a list of the gone B&M's I either Managed, Owned & or was the main Buyer for (chronological order). All in the 80's.
1. Jailhouse Records West Seattle, WA Manager/Buyer 2. Budget Tapes & Records Renton, WA Manager/Buyer 3. Budget Tapes & Records Bellevue, WA Buyer 4. Dandylion Records Seattle (Ballard district) Co-Owner/Manager/Buyer 5. Dandylion Records Seattle (Greenwood district) Co-Owner/Manager/Buyer 6. Dandylion Records Seattle (Northgate district) Co-Owner/Manager/Buyer
Also clerked & ran a few in store appearances briefly right out of college at the Mercer Street Tower Records. I never really fit in there. It was a weird combo of too alternative & too corporate at the same time if that makes any sense.

Vintage is at the top of my list. It's MUCH bigger than Princeton with an incredible selection. Their prices are pretty good. They're in a little outdoor mall. You shouldn't have too much trouble parking near the store. The other end of the mall has an OTB parlor and the parking is always packed there. Rob, the owner is very knowledgeable guy and if you have any questions about anything, he'll most likely know the answer.

There was a great article in the NY Times this week talking about the lost of many small businesses due to exponential rent increases. Something should be done about it. Years back Mayor Ed Koch had a bill drafted that would have protected small businesses but he didn't sign it. Now look what is happening.
