I'm really going to have to look at what was released this year, but I'm fairly certain my #1 will be Mavis Staples - You Are Not Alone.

In alphabetical order I'm surprised myself by the new groups as well as by the great albums by older, established artists. 2010 was a pretty strong year for music, I think.

One of my favorite releases of 2010 turned out to be the Japanese SHM-SACD release of Who's Next. Great packaging and wonderful sound.

It was a good year for Stones fans, with the Exile reissue, as well as DVD releases of Ladies and Gentlemen, The Rolling Stones and Let's Spend the Night Together. Throw in Keith's memoirs too.
My favorite new album was Goldfrapp's Rocket.

I have my entire collection in an excel spread sheet. Someday I'm going to learn to add the year of purchase so I can do these lists without hours of searching to see what was released in a given year.
