I've never started a topic in ICE. But I'm intoximacated, and thought I'd give it a shot. (My heroes, not counting the old pre-rock blues guys are Cave, Cohen, Cash, Waits and Dylan.)

I'll go against the grain and vote Cohen for me. Slightly better songwriter, much better singer.
I would love to hear Cohen sing some of Dylan's tunes. The thought of Dylan singing some of Cohen's songs makes me shudder.

According to http://www.searchingforagem.com, Dylan contributed backup vocals to the chorus on the song "Don't Go Home With Your Hard On", found on Cohen's 1977 album "Death Of A Ladies Man".

I've never been much of an LC fan, I generally prefer other's covers of his songs. I really like the Tower of song tribute, especially the Henly cover of Everyone Knows & the Arden cover of If It be Your Will; & of course I like almost any version of Suzanne.
While I also often prefer covers of Dylan, I like much of his work at least though Desire.

A Dylan cover of "Everybody Knows" might be interesting. I'd love to hear him snarl the line about "people you just had to meet without your clothes." As for the question at hand, I'm really not qualified to answer as I'm Your Man is the only Cohen album I've heard in its entirety, whereas I've heard most of Dylan's albums at least once, some of them many times.
