I recently sold a cd on ebay to a major recording artist who's music I like a lot. I'm not going to say who, to protect that person's privacy.

I have an ongoing problem with ebay's system where it relists about 1% of my sold items without my permission. This has been going on for years. It generates lots of $'s for ebay, in some cases there will be years of listing fees for a non existent item. I've given up complaining, as ebay's standard answer is something like: "That's not possible, oh & btw please clear your cache". And with 4,000 or so listings, while I do my best to police this, I miss some.

At any rate, you can probably see where this is going: said popular performer who's music I like a lot bought a cd from us that sold & shipped in April of this year to someone else. It was so embarrassing to tell this person that the cd was out of stock & here's your refund...........

I did tell them I loved their music. Waiting to hear back............

What was the CD?

Again, I don't feel comfortable stating, as someone could look up the title under completed listings on ebay & possibly discover who the buyer was. The buyer has not given me permission to give out their name, & in fact isn't aware of this post. Just wanted to share as I kinda thought some here could relate to how I'm feeling (like a blooming idiot!)!

No worries... and I get the feeling, too, kinda like buying a title a second time when you forget it's already in your collection.
