Cuz that's what I had to bleed, ouch! Okay, good seat, but still, $180 - the lady knows her worth. The most expensive ticket for me would be the last Rolling Stones tour concert, I think I paid $200 for a standing room ticket, but then I was in the second row, right in front of Keith Richards! Too close to see Charlie, because he was way in the back.

Maybe back when she was a star. Not these days. She's a shell of her former self.

Nothing against Whitney Houston, but I doubt I'd pay that much to see anybody.

(Famous last words, I know.)

I saw him live in NYC for a few bucks. I decided to stay for a show at the Comedy Cellar after doing an open mic set and he suddenly appeared out of nowhere to do a 20 minute set.

Pretty awesome.

She got good reviews here, even if she has lost some of her vocal range. I've only got the "Whitney" album, but I'm going to collect it all except the OST of The Bodyguard, don't care for her cover of the Dolly Parton song. But I know Dolly is grateful for Whitney's smash hit cover, as it was Dolly who wrote it and originally charted with it, but you all probably know that already. Dolly sings it at her concerts and it always gets a big applause.

I wonder if any of you are going to get her comeback album? It's on my shopping list.

Everytime I listen to a local so-called "80's music" radio station, it strikes me that I never hear two artists that I recall as being all over top-40 radio back in the 80's--Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson.

I think the only group I'd pay that kind of crazy money to go see live would be Pink Floyd with Roger Waters before Rick Wright died.

How about KISS or Bay City Rollers in their latest incarnations?

Nope. I wouldn't pay that kind of money to see KISS with the original lineup, either.

Now ,the original Rollers on the other hand....

Would not pay that much to see Whitney, certainly not these days. But I did buy her new album. Pretty blah, unfortunately.

I wouldn't see her live if I was given a ticket for nothing. I would, however, take the ticket and then sell it. Face value, of course.

I would not pay $180 for anyone anytime. I would also not pay $1.80 for Whitney Houston, especially now. I would not go for free either.
