Santana has had around 125-150 members over the years.

I've now added Skatalites as an option.

Oh by the way, I collect all of the above listed ten bands. And I forgot Deep Purple.

Well, is Santana considered a band, or Carlos Santana's backing band? Because Bob Dylan has played and toured with dozens of musicians over the years--off the top of my head you've got The Band, the Heartbreakers, the Cruzados, the Butterfield Blues Band, the Rolling Thunder Revue, and that was all before the various Neverending Tour Band configurations.

Santana is considered a band. That's what they have always considered themselves as. That is why you also get the Carlos Santana solo albums. And if you collect Santana, you'll find that some of the line-ups carve their own musical identity, just like in Deep Purple. They chose Carlos's surname in 1966 because it sounded good, a commercial, Latin name. It's the coolest and most beautiful name of any band.

At first they called themselves Santana Blues Band, before they signed with Columbia in 1969.

Hawkwind and King Crimson. You can't tell the players without a scorecard.

You could add Savoy Brown & Heart also. Though I think Mayall beats everyone mentioned.

Of those listed, it's clearly John Mayall.
Does the Alan Parsons Project count?
And what about the Royal Liverpool Orchestra (est. 1840)? Or the Vienna Boys Choir (est. 1498)?

Jethro Tull has had a couple dozen members over the years. Ian Anderson is the sole founding member and Martin Barre has been around since very early on.

Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Rainbow, Uriah Heep, Foreigner, Yes, Ozzy Osbourne band, Dio, Journey, UFO, Roxy Music, The Cure, Bad Company, The Cult, Doobie Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd-sadly, I can name each and every member of these groups some of which reach the 30s in terms of members. Deep Purple aren't even close to most of these bands.
