Farrah was really big for a few years there. She was very much of that time and place, but within that space she was a monster.She worked hard at becoming a decent actress, and she did well in the TV movies The Burning Bed and Murder in Texas and the feature film Extremities.She always seemed to be a very likeable person.

Brave to the very end. Sorry to hear of her passing.

Loved her in Charlies Angels, a real guilty pleasure show years before Baywatch.

She was a tough gal and we can only hope she can rest now.

And of course, during recess we would argue over who was the prettiest angel. I was a Farrah man and my friend liked Jaclyn Smith.

This is very sad news. I'd hoped Farrah would beat her cancer and live on, but it wasn't in the cards.

I'm just coming to terms with this MJ story late.Haven't watched any news all day or checked the internet for it.I don't have any albums-just the Nuggets box. "Pushin Too Hard" is the song that made them famous I think,but I couldn't name another.Agreed,very sad about him too.

Cancer is awful. A brave fight indeed. She was a little weird at times (i.e. Letterman interview), but she was a hottie in the 70's and seemed to be a decent person.
I still don't quite get life-why does death have to be a part of it? It stinks.

RIP. An icon is gone.

I'll always remember her as David Janssen's sexy carefree stewardess neighbor in "Harry-O," before she became a big star. She made a big impression in my teenage brain.. Great show.

So very sad. Like so many, I had the famous poster on my wall and would have had the coveted "Holly" poster had I been able to find one. There was something about Farrah that always made me extol her efforts. Now, I'll have to dig out that bootlaig dvd of Somebody Killed Her Husband that I have buried somewhere

I'm not trying to be contrary or mean, but Farrah's acting in Logan's Run bought howls of laughter from the audience when I saw the movie on campus back in the mid-70s. She did develop into a better actress with time.

I met Farrah one day up at Warhol's Factory.
She and Tatum had been shopping and stopped by to say HELLO.
It sounds cliche but I was in awe of her smile.
Very sad...

Cancer is always tragic. I long for a day that we may find a cure.

I know of too many who have died from it or been severely affected by it. Family members. Friends. Favorite celebrities. I'm with James. We need a cure.

So are so right Uncle Twitchy. Farrah had it all, the girl next door look but at the same time she was such a sexy babe. I have purchased the first year series of "Charlies Angel" because of her. She was strong right to the end. And her courage to share her ordeal encouraged others both who are sick or family members who are taking care. At least she will now be free of the pain and rest in peace.

Although Charlie's Angels was a perfect guilty pleasure in its time, Farrah's performance in The Burning Bed was what really caught my attention and made me sit up and take notice. The fact that she wanted to improve her acting (in addition to her courageous attitude at the end of her life) speaks volumes about her character.
