Good sound, 2 CD's, good representation of tracks, boring generic covers. Endorsed by the Hoffman board members.

As long as it's mastered by Mark Wilder or Vic Anesini (which the majority of them are), I'm a fan.

In that case I will stick my toes in the water and buy "The Esssential Heart" as it's something I've been intending to buy for a long time. The cover on that one I don't think is such a bad image for a hits. The one they did for Sly and The Family Stone is taking the piss though.

It covers the Epic and Capitol eras, with all the hits and great album tracks and the Capitol stuff has never sounded better on CD. Ironic, since it's Sony who put out the compilation.
