Abbey Road. This CD is amazing! I love Something and I Want You (She's So Heavy). The melody that comes later on the Cd is a lot of fun to listen to...sheer bliss. One of the Beatles best moments, IMHO. :ohyes:

I wanted to do a poll for the US albums as well, but a maximum of 15 poll options is allowed and because of all the slicing, dicing and reconfiguring, the US albums exceed that number.

Revolver. The last album they did as an actual band.

In my private little universe, it's a virtual tie between The Beatles ("The White Album") and Abbey Road. I have to give the nod to Abbey Road, since (to my ears) it's more consistent and doesn't contain obvious filler - which is understandable, since the "White Album" is obviously a double album set.

US vs. UK versions of albums sounds like a good idea for a future thread topic (unless it was done before)....since it applies to alot of pre-Sgt Pepper 60's, and even some early punk (Costello, Clash others).

I voted Revolver here as well. Not sure which Rubber Soul I prefer.

Rubber Soul or Revolver for me, depending on the day -- especially when you throw in the singles that preceded each album. I voted for Rubber Soul since it will probably need the help.

Sgt. Pepper. I used to think it was overrated and I was dumb enough to pass on George Martin's lecture on the making of this landmark album, but now it's my favorite Beatles album, and my third most favorite album of all time, Pet Sounds and SMiLE being no. 1 and 2, respectively,

That would be my second most favorite Beatles album.

I didn't have Revolver growing up and hearing it complete for the first time was something of a revelation, so it's my favorite. All the UK albums are great, though.

Chris, it's nice to be heard from. Lately, I've been preoccupied with other outside stuff and, therefore, have not visited these parts as consistently as I would like. However, I'm still around (although I don't post as much as I lurk).
