To anyone who may visit the Philadelphia area this summer, there are some cool free concerts this summer and some bad ones.
In Haddon Heights, NJ (about 10 min. from where I live in Cherry Hill and also where my business was) playing for free:
June 17-Poco I can't believe that one! I'll be there for sure.
Aug. 29-Blue Oyster Cult free show outside pavilion at Bally's. Nice-other free shows will be there this summer, so far just Jefferson Starship May 24 and some dude from Three Dog Night (One Dog Night?) in June.
July 4-Marshall Tucker Band/Foghat Cooper River Park. This is only a walk away for me, but 2 bogus lineups and loads of white trash attending this show scare the hell out of me. Pass!

Also, on the beautiful Ocean City Boardwalk at the Music Pier, there will be concerts this summer. Over The Rainbow (ex-Rainbow guys), Dickie Betts & Great Southern and Dokken will all be playing there seperately. Each show is $25. We may see the Rainbow show out of curiosity. Not sure if that'll be good or trainwreck.
I'll post more when I find them. If anyone wants to see the Poco or BOC shows let me know!

Likely Chuck Negron; who's at least as good as the other 2 if not better. They're said to have had a falling out when Negron's drug addiction got bad. Though Negron's been clean for years now, for whatever reason there's never been a reconciliation. 2 Dog Night doesn't cut it for me either; Negron sang many of the high parts.

BTW, I'm jealous of the free shows. No such thing here, at least not with major touring acts (even dinosaur ones!).
