So far

Yes at the Beacon 4/9
Muse at MSG 4/15
Steven Wilson at Best Buy Theater NYC 4/26.

What's up with April and all these concerts! I'm not seeing Clapton but I could have added him and Fleetwood Mac.

We saw Blue Rodeo on Saturday (1/5) in Vancouver BC, at the Orpheum.

Show started promptly at 8pm, with no opening act. Core band of Cuddy/Keelor/Donovan/Milchem/Egan was supplemented by Michael Boguski on keyboards and longtime Jim Cuddy Band member Colin Cripps on lead guitar.

They took a 20-minute intermission at about 9:30 and came back and did a seated acoustic set that included 4 or 5 songs from the album they're currently recording. There were no glaring exceptions from the setlist, and a few fun surprises, like "Summer Girls" featuring Jim on piano, and a 2nd encore of just Jim & Greg singing "Is It You?" without amplification or mikes.

Now that I know that I'll be back in Toronto for their shows in Feb, I'm going to try to get tickets. They were alt.country before alt.country was cool.

I'd go see that. I wonder if they are hitting Toronto?

EDIT: Apparently not. Damn.

Thx very much for the offer, Jimbo; I'll let you know as soon as I know. Haven't booked the flights, but will likely do so within the next few days. Likely will just be Friday morning until Sunday afternoon, since the trip is specifically for this show (with the bonus of a few meals with friends there). The lure of the Lulu meet and greet afterward was too much to pass up. :D

I have Eels tickets for the Paradise in Boston next month. I can't wait. The new songs I've heard so far are terrific.

(This will probably interest only 1 or 2 people on here but.......)

The Lulu show at BB Kings last night was alot of fun. I didn't realize until a few days ago (from newspaper articles) that this was here first ever regular concert in New York.....it was also a one-off show...(she's really here to sell some stuff on QVC). Her backing band last night was a mix of Late Night and Fab Faux.....Paul Shaffer, Will Lee, Jimmy Vivino, Rich Pagano.....and 4 backup singers...one named D-Train who did co-lead vocal on "Mocking Bird."

The set was 75 minutes and very well played. Alot of soul/blues covers....and 2 Beatles!!!....and Derek & The Dominos!!! (never knew she covered "Bell Bottom Blues"....gotta find whatever CD that's on). "To Sir With Love" was done along the lines of the Al Green version....as she said, the regular way would have been too quiet/out of place with this particular backing band. She sounded good...and lots of anecdotes about her past. I hope she enjoyed New York enough to come back for more concers down the road.

It was also a pleasure to meet fellow ICE-er David Baker for about 15-20 minutes......nice chat.....only the 2nd person from this site that I've met in person...(Geff R the other)

2/16 Lulu setlist......

Unchain My Heart
Cry To Me
Try A Little Tenderness
Oh Me Oh My
Bell Bottom Blues
I'm Tore Down
Mocking Bird (with D Train)
I Don't Wanna Fight
In My Life
You Can't Do That
You Send Me
25 Miles
To Sir With Love
I Can't Turn You Loose
Shout

I echo Charles' comments above about the Lulu show at BB King's.

Here are a few pics from the show...
