Good mix of hits and obscure songs, there, Charles, with a healthy and heavy slant towards olden days, aye! "All Summer Long" I believe ends the film "American Graffiti", but that's a mistake, because that song was from '64 and "American Graffiti" is set in '62, in fact the slogan for the film was, "Where were you in '62?".

I'm spinning the latest MOJO freebie, a comp of UK '70s rock - now I've got Motorhead in my collection! I also bought Michael Jackson's "HIStory Part 1" on sale today, sealed for appx $20, will play CD2 now!

I'm taking a little break from working in the yard. I listened to The Kink Kronikles
and "The Pains of Being Pure at Heart". I think when I go back out I'll throw on some live Ten Years After.

It''s been music from Gernany all day.

Started off with Surfpatrouille's "Instronaut" 2005 release. High energy surf instrumental, absolutely amazing stuff. Next up was a reissue of Emtidi's 1972 "Saat" album. Cosmic folk-psych-prog with some very nice femme vocals. Now listening to the German electronic artist Ellen Allien and the title track from her recently reissued "Stadtkind" (her first full length).

Kid Bailey, I love the double album, The Kink Kronikles, if it's the one with the Royal Horseguard on the cover. I gave it to my brother, but ended up buying it back from him.

I'm now on my second day of listening to Michael Jackson's HIStory Part 1. I don't know why it got trashed by the critics, I'm loving it.

"Be My Girl" by El Goodo from Coyote. My favorite album of the year, so far.

That's the one. When it was originally released on LP back in 1972 it made available a lot of stuff that was rare or had not been released here.Great liner notes too.
I'm listening now to Maria Taylor's Lynn Teeter Flower.

Finally listening to the Average White Band's Definitive Groove Collection that I bought several months ago. I don't know why I put off listening to it for so long because I'm really enjoying it. I'm about two thirds through CD1. I always thought the double entendre of "Cut The Cake" was a bit obvious, but I have to admit it is one funky track. Other songs have more of a 70s soul/pop groove, and I'm remembering more of these than I thought I would.

Taj Mahal from the Fillmore in 1971. I pulled it off the Dime last night, and it sounds great.
