I put my guitar in today to have some work done on it - I'm going to 9 - 42 gauge strings (I'm due to have some carpal tunnel surgery in the near future, so a lighter gauge should be helpful), and I'm getting the frets dressed, setup, etc.

And it really is a journey - sometimes a frustrating one, but still a worthwhile one.

I put a deposit on it today. I sold my old Frankenstrat today for $300 and I'm selling an old macbook to pay for the rest. I'm just waiting for the cash.

Very radical cool color. I went with the traditional two tone brown for my American Standard. My favorite color though is red but I already have a few red guitars (a PRS and a Charvel).

I can't tell you how much I love the Taylor. It's easy and comfortable to play and sounds beautiful.

Now you're making me want to get an acoustic again. Not that one! But something cheaper. :) And I really don't need one right now. I don't think.

Wuss! Buy one. John, Ron, and I will drive out to Kentucky and we'll have a Taylor jam!

I agree. You pick one up and it's very comfortable in your hands and a joy to play.

I'll have to try one out soon at a Sam Ash. I was actually near one last night on 34St in Manhattan but I had to get into the Hammerstein (conveniently located next door).
I have one of those small Martin guitars which has a nice dark tone but it isn't easy to play.

Man, you've got a lot to learn about couch/guitar photography.

The PRS boys know how to do it right...

Sweet Alan! Don't worry though, one of these days you'll get over your aversion to PRS guitars.

That's truly impressive. (bet you don't hear that often).
