I'm 80% with John above, but replace Lamb Lies Down (which I do like very much) with Selling England By The Pound.
The Knife Watcher Of The Skies The Musical Box Suppers Ready Selling England By The Pound
Phil Collins Honorable Mention: Trick Of The Tail
To be honest, in my world Genesis seized to exist after Trick Of The Tail & were replaced by a mediocre radio friendly arena band. I love everything from Trespass through Trick, (+ the PG era box set) though.

This thread motivated me to play the Selling England cd for the first time in (likely) years, thanks! (Though I did play Trespass the other day..)

I do like a lot of the trio Genesis, too. Just not as much.

You really need to have a Gabriel/ Collins list when it comes to Genesis. Each era is so unique.
My Collins era would be heavy with Trick and the Wuthering albums:
All In A Mouse's Night (love that one). Ripples Mad Man Moon Afterglow Snowbound

") Afterglow Squonk Selling England by the Pound Carpet Crawlers I love "Entangled"-absolutely gorgeous song. Should've been in my next ten picks, but I forgot! Incredible harmonies too. That's one of the songs Tony Banks plaued guitar with Rutherford and Hackett on. An absolute masterpiece.

. do you mean Dancing With the Moonlit Knight? I don't think there's an individual track called Selling England by the pound

I don't think there's an individual track called Selling England by the pound Steve G., I meant "Dancing With the Moonlit Knight", the first track of "Selling England by the Pound" although I would definitely include that LP as one of the top 5 from Genesis a well. Someone mentioned liking them through "Trick", but I would extend that through "Wind & Wuthering" if just for the "Afterglow" (and the title has great fascination for the Anglophile as well)

The Top 5:
1. Watcher Of The Skies (4 votes) Carpet Crawlers (4 votes) 2. Abacab (3) The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway (3) Turn It On Again (3) Supper's Ready (3) Dancing With The Moonlit Knight (3) Squonk (3) Turn It On Again (3) There were so many different songs it's pointless to go further. A total of 34 songs from just 12 voters.
