I went to a brand new one - which is pretty large - but they had a very small CD selection. I had a few items in mind, but that twindled...so I began looking for something which would really compel me, many listed above. No Luck. When I looked at the box sets, most which interested me I had, but I finally picked up Coltrane's Interplays box set. So in the end it worked out well, but was very discouraging...

the end of cds is going to be a self-fullfilling prophecy more than anything driven by fact...if you don't have shit to buy, people can't buy.

Huh? There's plenty of SHIT to buy in the record stores! It's the good music that seems to be so hard to find. :-)

Don't know...and don't wanna know!

But it's cool that someone remembered.

The local Best Buy has reduced the amount of cd shelf space by about 10%.

The problem for me is I already own 99% of the music I ever wanted to own. An incredible amount considering I started by collecting a few 45's and lp's at first.

So the only thing left is new music and I'm not digging the Top 40 anymore.
