What songs that you otherwise enjoy have lines that are missing syllables, don't rhyme correctly, or otherwise have a meter that throws you way out of the song?

One good example is this lyric from Steve Miller Band's "Rock 'n Me"

"Philadelphia, Atlanta, L.A./Noooooooorthern California..."

Loneliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
Hollywood created a superstar
And pain was the price you paid...

That third line always bugged me. Too many syllables jammed in there, throws off the meter.

From "Hurricane":

"we want to put his ass in the stir,
we want to pin this triple murrrrder on him,
he ain't no Gentleman Jim."

"Throw me in the shadow water/Before I get too deep"

"Water" doesn't fit.

I thought it was shallow water.

Of course it is. One o' them late-night typos.

Here's another missing syllable:

"It's my way or the highway/This Christmas at my ba-a-a-aaar
I'll have to break your kneecaps if you bastards touch my car"
