Polyphonic Spree, Holloways US label goes bankrupt

TVT, the home to The Polyphonic Spree and The Holloways in the US has gone bankrupt.

Lil Jon, the Ying Yang Twins and Ambulance Ltd are also on the label, which is based in New York City.

According to a statement the filing was made to “address urgent financial challenges and to support its future development."

The label has not shut down though, and will continue to market and promote its current projects and schedule upcoming releases.

Isn't that the label that started out with all those comps of TV theme songs? In fact, isn't it short for TeeVee Tunes?

I've got the whole kit 'n caboodle when it comes to those TV comps, even the one with the commercial jingles. Never know when you might need one for a theme CD-r!

My CD3 single of "Doctorin' the Tardis" by the Timelords (a.k.a. the JAMS a.k.a the KLF) is also on TVT, IIRC.

Nine Inch Nails started on TVT records; may have been the first "band" signed to the label.
