This is a beautiful change up to a hard rocking masterpiece!
Most moving of all, Sam & Dean's reactions to the cover wasn't scripted. The actors didn't know about the song and their reaction was real because it was the first time they saw it.

I was driving with my wife the other night and she mentioned she liked a 3CD set I had received from the UK that has lots of 70s hits.

She says she heard a song on the disc by Argent called God Gave Rock N Roll To You and said didn't KISS do that one? I had to laugh as Argent is the original and KISS is the cover. I giver her credit for knowing that KISS did that song too. :D
