Culture Club was a singles band, or at least that's the impression I get, so a CD comp is the way to go, and I can think of no better comp than the beautifully mastered 1993 release "At Worst... the Best of Boy George and Culture Club", for those lesser known but almost equally great Boy George solo tracks. It's the only CD to cover all bases.

I totally agree. My only issue with that compilation is the spoken intro at the beginning of "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me". I don't remember if it can be skipped or if it's tacked onto the beginning of the track, but either way I found it annoying. Other than that, it is fine.

Yes, I was surprised to hear that spoken intro for the first time. It's never played on radio.

Unfortunately, the box has a lot of remixes and Boy George solo stuff. I love Culture Club but the CC rarities on the box weren't enough to make me want to buy it.

I think I have at least 6 different Culture Club comps, including the box set.

Another good thing about the comp I recommended above is that it doesn't have the War Song on it - well, good for me, at any rate.

"At Worst" is the comp that I have and I have been quite happy with it.

The Boy George solo songs measure up well.

Many don't know it's Malcolm McLaren.

Actually, I think both the first 2 CDs are worth having (and especially the second album), and the rest hit or miss at best. If I was a fan but not a completist, I'd buy the first 2 CDs rather than a comp CD.
