I appreciate all the hard work that has gone into the new site and it looks great but (you knew that was coming) I have a nit-picky request.

Could you put the previous topic/next topic link at the bottom of the topic page? That's usually where I am when I want to move to the next topic. I know I could just hit "home" and go right to the top of the page but... well I was going to give some kind of excuse but basically I'm a creature of habit (not to mention a little bit of a slave to OCD) and that's where the feature was on the old board.

Tabbed browsing for the win! Try it, you'll like it. Open the main ICE page, and middle-click each new thread you want to open (assuming IE7 or Firefox-if not, you'll need one of those first). I guarantee you'll quickly wonder how you lived without it. :ohyes:

Middle click? Not sure what that is.

I would have thought I had IE7 but maybe I don't and that's the problem.

Jeff, post a screenie of your browser with the 50 tabs open. That should frighten everyone away. :)

Here's the one from when we were testing the new chat on the old site. If that doesn't do it, nothing will! :yay: I've had up to 100 tabs open at the same time before.

Oh, the whole thing. I have IE7 AND I opened the tabs. It just took me a second.

But I only test-opened 6 tabs. 50! :p

Why is that whenever I click on a thread link, I'm automatically taken to the bottom of the thread rather than the top? It's starting to annoy me. Does it do that to everyone, or is it a function of my browser?

It does that to me too. My cursor starts off in the quick-reply box.

Yeah, the new software had been helpfully taking me to the last unread post in a thread. As of this AM, it's skipping messages and going straight to the quick-reply box.

agreed, same thing is happening to me.

also, in "view new posts" at the top of the page, when you click on ICE there is nothing there. it says"no suitable matches were found"

The quick-reply thing is being worked on. I haven't experienced that problem myself, but it may be because I'm using Firefox. Also having no problem with the ICE or IMWAN "view new posts". I must be blessed. :)

In search, I miss the ability to search all ice forums at once. The new search is great otherwise.

You can still do that, Geff. Just highlight ICE in the list of boards. It'll return results from all the music boards.

I always get a warm, fuzzy feeling whenever I find myself agreeing with Renny...I'm still only using the "View new posts (all)" link because the "(ICE)" link on mine is doing the same thing. :(

Bannings: Banned!?! Hey...
OK - I think I found the problem with the individual forums "View new posts" links (ICE or IMWAN). Let me know if it's working for you as expected, now.

New bug: when I click on the email link "If you want to view the newest post made since your last visit, click the
following link" it's taking me to the beginning of the topic. This wasn't happening for me until today.
