Bannings: If you're not nice
How many drummers have consistently sung lead vocals for their groups? There was Gerry Polci of the '70s Four Seasons:VIDEO The Romantics' drummer sings lead on many of their songs. Ringo on his solo albums of course. Dennis Wilson. Who else?

Levon Helm, obviously not all of the lead vocals, but he did a lot of the heavy lifting.

I see Frederic beat me to it with Levon Helm. How about Karen Carpenter?

Keith Moon on Fiddle About
I know it is only one song, but since it is one of the worst vocals ever, I thought it was worth a mention.

Morten Harket of a-ha started out on drums... I don't think he ever played them on any of a-ha's albums though.

Have you never heard their "Barbara Ann"?
And if we're going to go just on that "Tommy" soundtrack, Oliver Reed on one of the "Do You Think It's Alright?" tracks - good lord, it made me think *I* could sing!

Entwistle sang Fiddle About on the original album, on which Moon sang Tommy's Holiday Camp (and parts of Bell Boy, on Quadrophenia, too).
I try to forget most of the soundtrack (with the exception of Elton's Pinball Wizard, Clapton's Eyesight To The Blind, and the non-syncopated version of I'm Free).
