Could we possibly cut back a little on all the You Toube stuff? As most of us know how to access it, I for one prefer to use this site to read and not watch.

I'm going to disagree. The YouTube links offer a chance for the person making the recommendation to conveniently present what they feel is an ideal example of the recommended artist's work. The preview image also gives an idea of what the work might be.
I know of a few artists I wouldn't have gone to the trouble of looking up, if not for the YouTube clip. I say people should continue to post them freely.
Just my opinion.

Seeing the Youtube preview image also gives me a hint as to what is featured in the video. This prevents me from clicking on the videos that I'm already familiar with. Without the preview I'm clicking on every link, and quickly closing those that I would've avoided in the first place.

It may not be apparent from Jethro Tull lyrics, but Ian Anderson has a very quick, very British, Pythonesque sense of humor. He could do standup if the Tull gig ever winds down.

Blondie's absurd "Americana" was often hilarious. I laugh every time I think of "Suzy & Jeffrey" or the outfit Deborah wore on SNL when they did "Rip Her to Shreds".

Early Barenaked Ladies.
Deep Purple, w/Ian Gillan could be fun. When I saw them on the Perfect Strangers tour, among other things, he did a long, convoluted story about them supporting a local football team, the Perfect Street Rangers.
Mike Keneally is a lot of fun, and an incredible musician to boot.
