The topic for this Friday: driving. Let's try to stay on topic--not just CAR songs, but the acting of driving (also OK, by extension: cruising, parking, crashing, rolling down the highway). Subtle distinction in some cases, use your best judgment.
You may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile...if you chauffeur me, I will chauffeur you.
I'm Gonna Drive--Rolling Stones (non-lp b-side)
Who's Driving Your Plane--Rolling Stones
Drive My Car--Beatles
Cruisin'--Jefferson Airplane (a favorite from my college days)
Always Crashing in the Same Car--David Bowie
Driving--Everything But the Girl
Don't Drive Drunk--Stevie Wonder

Drivin' - the Kinks (from "Arthur")
Keep Your Hands On the Wheel (said marie to the driver) - Roy Wood
Walk Upon the Water - the Move (as is revealed in the final verse, the song's
point, not to drink and drive)
Drivin' Wheel - Paul Butterfield Blues Band
Drivin' Wheel - Poco (entirely different song; ah, duh, ya think?....)
Driving Me Backwards - Eno (granted, a different type of driving; but the key word
is in the title....)
Red Cars Are After Me - Roy Wood
LP - "The Four Of Us" - John Sebastian (by virtue of the LP's theme, two couples
on a cross-country drive)

Hope none of these have been mentioned yet... Trying to read through them fast before I leave the office...
Driving In My Car -- Madness
Don't Push Your Foot On The Heartbreak -- Kate Bush
Motorcrash -- Sugarcubes
Car Song -- Elastica
For years I've been been meaning to make a CD of songs about driving to play (of course) in the car. With this list we are building I have no excuse now not to do it.
