Jackson 5 - Michael may look rather pale, but they are all still alive! This one may actually happen.

I watched part of the Country JoeOriginal Band 2004 reunion dvd last night. It's all of Country Joe & The Fish without Barry Melton, who's a busy attorney these days.
It's suprisingly good for a bunch of folks in their 60's (70's??) missing their lead guitar player. Love to see another tour with Barry.

If we can have a Jackson 5 reunion, let's also have an extended Osmonds reunion! Little Jimmy can be the supporting act and Donny and Marie can close the show.
And of course The Walker Brothers, one of the best pop groups of the '60s and '70s.

Fleetwood Mac
Even if they had to have Bob Brunning on bass rather than McVie, it would be worth it to get Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer on the same stage again.

One that I'd been hoping for for almost ten years finally happened last year, and I saw them on Thursday - Toad The Wet Sprocket!
I'd last seen them in 1992, right when "All I Want" started to get play on MTV. This time around, Microsoft booked them to play the lawn for an in-house concert series. The week before was Harvey Danger, and next week is The Presidents of the USA.
Anyway, they sounded great, although they lowered the key on a couple of songs. Glenn could still hit all the high notes, so I assume the changes were to accommodate Todd and Dean on backing vocals. Or maybe they just wanted to change the mood.

I just saw the reunited Crowded House on Saturday night in Milwaukee. Of course, this was sans drummer Paul Hester who offed himself a couple years ago, but did include multi-instrumentalist Mark Hart who, while not a founding member, was with the band when they split in 1996. The band was augmented by Matt Sharrod on drums and Liam Finn on guitars and keyboards (he also opened the show with a very music/tech geeky set which featured him creating his own looped parts to build a band sound - it was fun, but very gimmicky). The band were great and clearly having a lot of fun - and they really didn't dwell on old stuff, playing at least half a dozen songs from their new album, playing "Don't Dream It's Over" somewhere in the middle of their set, and saving smaller (but, in my opinion, better) hits like "Weather With You" and "Private Universe" for the encores. The main set closer was a fabulously rocking version of "Locked Out." At one point Neil and Nick recounted how the night before at their hotel, they were, to the dismay of many security guards, flying paper airplanes down the hotel's several story tall glass atrium.

I saw Graham open up for Clapton in 84 and I could have sworn he was with The Shot. Does that sound right anyone?
And I would kill to see Rockpile do their thang.
Wow and in a small club and then have them be someone's backing band like Chuck Berry or Paul McCartney for 50's numbers.
Ooohhh now I have the fantasy going good. Who wants in? Come on... who else is in this band? They gotta be alive and playing now and fit the them that Rockpile does. Dick Dale, Lyle Lovett, Jimmy Buffett, John Hiatt, Rev Horton Heat, .. come on guys help me out here, I'm struggling-

Does that sound right anyone? It was with the Shot. I think Steady Nerves was just released. Saw them at the Universal Ampitheater opening for Clapton. It was the first and only time I saw Graham Parker and I have always been a big fan. He was good but I was disapointed. I was expecting a lot more. By the way, Graham Parker has a new cd available on his web site from a concert in 1992. It's a limited edition. $15 plus postage. I've gotten his others and they are excellent quality.

My fondest reunion dream came true when the Raspberries reunited. Was also thrilled when Martin Fry revived ABC in 1997 and when a-ha reunited in '98 and went into the studio to record "Minor Earth, Major Sky." Summer of '05 was an almost-unbelievable concert trifecta for me: ABC/Naked Eyes in Chicago in late June, Raspberries in NYC a month later and a-ha in NYC in early September. Built up some frequent flyer miles for all that.
I'd love to see some of the others already mentioned here, too: ELO, the Supremes, Dire Straits and Chicago with Peter Cetera. And I'll have to see the Led Zeppelin tour if it happens.
But the only reunion that could approach or surpass the Raspberries for me would be ABBA.
