Like I really needed to know that.
But thanks anyway, Steve.

the "hoffia" will do waveforms of steve's underwear and tell us that they are not as good as the underwear he used to wear. too loud and overly compressed.

Overly compressed underwear is <strike>why the sky is falling</strike>, sorry, I mean "why music has gone to hell in a handbasket and every band since Sailor is crap". Correctly made underwear allowed lots of room for Chris to BREATHE and be DYNAMIC, and you could hear loads of natural hiss in his underwear. Peter Mew ruined Chris' underwear. Nowadays underwear is done so badly, we should refuse to even wear any.

Master tape of Chris' underwear:
Chris' underwear after declicking and hiss reduction:
I think you'll agree that these waveforms speak for themselves.

Just remember the old saying that I've heard women use about us guys. If it's loose enough, it'll keep him getting the oxygen supply to his brain.
This thread devolved into underwear because my normally mild mannered self decided to show his degenerate side for a change. I have to keep you guys off-balance every once in a while. I can't always be eloquent and formal.

I've heard that if you take a green marker and color the waistband of Chris's underwear, it helps him stay focused.

There was an unsuccessful attempt to market high-resolution versions of Chris' underwear. The name of the format was DualDi ...
Nevermind.

I heartily concur that Chris's unmentionables should remain unmentionable.

Somebody over there earlier today asked if there was another board where people could discuss music. I answered the guy that I knew of a forum. I also said that, sadly, I could not name the forum. I was just over there a few minutes ago this evening and I got a PM from a guy and I told him about us. I hope he joins. And, oh by they way, I looked around for the thread to see if there were any responses after I answered back. Guess what? I can no longer find the thread. Holy cow! Talk about paranoia. It's so childish. We can both co-exist.

We all need to bomb the hell out of the site with something like FREE< FREE< FREE don't pay for your arrogant replies. Come over where the music advice and posts are FREE And Easy.
I know it's not really the best approach and it wouldn't last very long but maybe someone would get the idea that they need to mellow out. Just a small rant/thought with no seriousness to it. (Heavy sigh)

Not in their eyes. I would say I'm surprised by this, but this happened many times before.
There are some good people over there at that "other" board, but apparently you aren't allowed to mention places like us to them. I'm surprised your post was up there long enough to be read, Steve.

Bumping this thread for Michael's birthday.

It's so childish. We can both co-exist. Steve F. posted this in the Eagles poll thread a couple of days ago ... stevef wrote: eelkiller wrote: I will celebrate this release by listening to their first 4 albums and Joe Walsh's Barnstorm and "Smoker".
What I have heard so far is total crap IMO. Most of the Hoffman folks are not fond of it either... and the album doesn't come out for a few more hours yet. I can't wait to read the comments still to come... http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/showt ... p?t=127758There's over 5 pages to read through... with much more to come...
The actual content of that thread aside, do you think I should delete any mention of Hoffman the way he erases any mention of other music communities? It's not like we'd be losing out on much worthwhile information. Once you've read one of their "All music recorded after 1975 sucks" threads, you've read them all.
That was a rhetorical question, I'm not going to delete links to other sites unless they're spam. But I wonder if Steve F. turned around and posted the same message on Hoffman's board directing people to read the equivalent ICE thread ... and if he did, I wonder how many seconds it took for his post to be deleted.

Truth hurts... too bad, really, as it can be an occasional source of good information on reissues but as a general read I gave up a long time ago.

at linda's suggestion i am sharing this with everyone:
once again i have been scolded by the hoffman gorts for remarks i made about the who. (this is the 3rd time)
they are a bunch of cry babies over there.
my personal gort (who's name i'll leave out) told me he had tons of complaints about my post in which i said i thought "endless wire" sucked. i also said the who was way overdue for another "who's next" reissue. (seriously, the whole post was 2 sentences) and i even added a smilie face because i know they hate me over there whenever i mention anything about the who.
we all know the revere the who over there (along with paul mccartney who can walk on water in their eyes).
oh well, i can take it. sister marjorie yelled at me every day i eighth grade, so i have been there before.
