Jimbo and I enjoyed the HE2007 stereo show yesterday in NYC.

We spent the day seeing demo after demo of reasonably priced speakers to mega-buck speakers ($150K for La Sphere's by Cabasse speakers).

Great Home Theater demo's from Outlaw Audio/ Aperion Speakers/ and Cinepro speakers. Massive massive sound in these rooms. The Cinepro room played a clip from "Master And Commander" that had our pants waving with the sound pressure of cannon fire.

After the show five of us went downtown to iTrulli for dinner. I had some delicious shrimp ravioli.

I've included a photo of our table.

From left to right is: Paul, Jimbo, me JohnG, Mike and Tony.

Wow...I don't even want to think of the average age of that group. It almost looks like they're posing for the next Mount Rushmore. Almost!

In the immortal words of Maude: "God'll get you for that, Walter!"

Had a lot of fun at the show and dinner. Our 3 dinner companions are habituees of the Hoffman site. Tony is quite the worldly chap, Mike had a quick sense of humor, and Paul was the quiet Beatle. I was my usual surly, unpleasant self.

I was even able to talk John into taking in a screening of the new zombie horror flick 28 Weeks Later while we were on the town. Intense movie, recommended for fans of the genre.

...and just remember, the camera always adds 40 lbs.

I had our cute waitress take that picture. She thought we were big music industry people because I still had my Show pass on me. :D

I like this group, makes me feel young!

Tony btw is an expert on many things including wine. We got a lesson on how to order wine. It taste good too. See bottle on table. :)

28 Weeks Later was very intense. I had to avert my eyes at times. All I know is if someone near you starts gurgling and begins to bleed from the eyes...excuse yourself from their company. :D

I can't imagine how I didn't have a nightmare after that movie.
