Yep. I think Lenny comes on at 7:30 PM so we need to get over there early (it takes awhile to go from Penn Station to the Meadowlands as the trains take their time).
I already have a GnR Not In This Lifetime t-shirt to wear! But I wil pick up some souvenir at the show.

Not to deingrate those talented musicians, but I'm firmly in the camp that if Duff and Slash aren't in the band, it's not Guns and Roses. It's just Rose.

For me, all you truly need is Axl and Slash.
setting aside the whole Duff as the middle man who's making this work by being friends with both Slash and Axl, I really think it's Duff who brings the punk ethos to the band. We have lots of debates elsewhere on this board around what individual artists bring to the collaborative process (Lee / Kirby / Ditko stuff), and in GnR's case, the DiY, aggressive punk attitude I think came from Duff and Steve. I'm guessing, but I think Axl brings the overblown lush theatricality and paranoia (Jungle, Out ta Get Me, and November Rain), Slash brings that slow california flow / blues vibe (Sweet Child, Estranged), and Duff brings the (heh, heh) attitude, and the glam rock influence (You Could be Mine, It's So Easy)
So I do think he's an important part of the sound of the band. Plus, of the original 5, he was the other vocalist, which adds as well.
I posted my feelings of last night show in the Concerts 2016 thread. It was all I thought it would be. Just fantastic. How could anyone not want to see America's premier hard rock band doing what they were put on Earth to do? This is rock!

Was gonna post this in the concerts thread, but figured it belongs better here.
In considering Axl's good behaviour on this tour, and the on-going long standing issues he's had with his weight, I have to wonder if he was finally able to find an anti-depressant that would help him, but that brings the weight gain as a side effect. I know it's a common thing for some drugs, and he always did strike me as bipolar. But now he seems relatively balanced. I'm glad if that's the case, since he is a really great musician.
Guns N' Roses' Axl Rose is reportedly being sued by a former band member for $163,000
Guns N' Roses' Axl Rose is reportedly being sued by a former touring band member who claims he is owed over £100,000 in unpaid wages.
According to TMZ, Chris Pitman is seeking $163,000 (£123,000) from the band's frontman.
Pitman played in Guns N' Roses between 1998 and 2016, mainly as the band's second keyboardist and second bass player. During that period, he also added backing vocals and percussion.
The alleged debt is said to date back to 2011, when Rose, reportedly pleasing poverty at the time, allegedly said in a signed document that he would pay $125,000 (£95,00) in unpaid wages to Pitman by October 2012.
Because Pitman claims not to have been paid back yet, he has raised the debt to the larger sum of $163,000 (£123,000) to take account of interest. Rose has yet to comment on the reported lawsuit.
On this date in 1991 I went to a record store in a shopping center in Bayside Queens at midnight to buy 2 CDs, a double album that was two separate release but one whole recording by one of the most famous hard rock bands of that era.
And I still enjoy every minute of it.
