More boobitry from Axl Rose-he's at it again! (If boobitry has to be my own word, so be it!) Looks like Axl continues to be insane from the looks of this article which I found pretty damn funny (and sad)...

reports that EAGLES OF DEATH METAL band leader Jesse "The Devil" Hughes has vented his anger at Axl Rose, saying the singer is "fucking out of his mind" after his band were thrown off GUNS N' ROSES' U.S. tour.

The band were reportedly "let go" after getting a hostile reception from the audience at a recent gig.

However speaking to NME.com, Hughes said he was "shocked" by Rose's reaction when he branded them "The Pigeons Of Shit Metal", and then sacked them from stage during a recent gig at Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena.

"Axl Rose is fucking out of his mind," raged Hughes. "He wasn't even there when we played. He got there about 30 minutes after we got done playing. He waltzed on to the stage and went nuts.

"He had a couple of fans thrown out for pissing him off. Then when he called us The Pigeons Of Shit Metal, Tommy Stinson, their bass player took his bass off and goes: 'Fuck you, that's it'. And then he threw his bass down. But then Axl picked up his bass and fucking threw it at him dude. It was a fucking circus up there."

Despite reports claiming that his band were thrown off the tour for the poor reception they received, Hughes said by the end of the show EODM managed to win the fans over.

"When we first walked out there the crowd were jeering but it was because we weren't Axl Rose," he admitted. "These kids had been waiting there since seven o'clock for the second coming of Christ and Axl wasn't there yet. So a bunch of happy go lucky sincere and real deal rock and rollers came out and started playing. The jeers only went on for a little bit. By the end of the set we'd won those fuckers over."

Despite throwing his band off tour, Hughes claims that his tour manager then received a call later that night from Rose's management apologizing for the singer's actions and he asked them to return for the remaining dates of GUNS N' ROSES' three-week tour.

"By the end of the night that guy [Rose] had caused a giant uproar," said Hughes. "It was like a total mutiny on the part of his band and everyone. I could hear screaming in the dressing room, 'Those are our friends and you've insulted our friends.' Then at 4am in the morning our tour manager gets a phone call which essentially amounted to: 'Axl's thought about it, he thought you guys were a band getting shoved on his tour from the label. He's really sorry and you're more than welcome to finish the tour.'

"When my manager told me that, I just said, 'You can tell that motherfucker to go and fuck himself because I will never go through that again.'"

I miss the days when they'd just trash hotel rooms and throw TV's out the window of the tour bus.

Simpler times.....

Somewhere, Slash is very glad not to be a part of this episode of the pseudo "Guns 'N' Roses" history. What were the other guys in Guns thinking when they signed over the name to this megalomaniac???

Maybe they just wanted him to leave them alone, and hoped that signing over the name would do the trick.

I saw the Eagles of Death Metal open for Joan Jett also in Cleveland on Oct 21, and they were a cool, fun band. Not sure why they wouldn't have gone over well opening with any riock band. they were pure rock-n-roll.

Yeah, I know that once again I'm in the minority here, but to me "Appetite" is another one of those albums that has been played to death. "Welcome To The Jungle" has been a sports arena cliche for two decades now. For me, while the myriad of complaints about the two "Use Your Illusion" albums are mostly valid, I still find them to be far more engrossing to listen to.

Still, I'd definitely pick up a 20th anniversary edition of "Appetite" if it included a few of the rarities from this era--"Whole Lotta Rosie", "Shadow Of Your Love", etc.

6 or 7 albums ago?? Well, I guess if you count live albums and comps, they have that many.

Guns 'N' Roses are featured as the cover story in the new issue of Rolling Stone, commemorating the 20th anniversary of Appetite For Destruction...

How Guns N' Roses Mixed Drugs, Punk, and Classic Rock to Make 'Appetite for Destruction'
Excerpt from Issue 1032
By BRIAN HIATTPosted Jul 27, 2007 10:03 AM

Axl Rose was lying nude inside a Manhattan recording studio's darkened vocal booth, working out some unorthodox last-minute overdubs. Tape was rolling, and he knew something wasn't right. Beneath him was a cute nineteen-year-old stripper named Adriana Smith, who happened to be his drummer's girlfriend. "Come on, Adriana, make it real," Rose barked, pausing mid-coitus. "Stop faking!"
On that warm weekend evening in the spring of 1987, engineer Vic Deyglio had set up a top-of-the-line vocal microphone to capture the sounds of Rose and Smith having sex -- and at one point, he had to dash into the booth to adjust the mike as they went at it. "It was like a Ron Jeremy set in there," Deyglio recalls. Smith wanted to get back at Guns n' Roses drummer Steven Adler for cheating on her -- and had always liked the singer better anyway. "I would do anything Axl asked me to do," says Smith, now a forty-year old mom. "He's fuckin' magical." Though she was drunk and giggly that day, Smith eventually gave Rose what he wanted: Her orgasmic moans -- which ended up high in the mix on Appetite for Destruction's final track, "Rocket Queen" -- are for real. But when Adler found out what had been captured on his band's album, the drummer "fucking freaked out," Smith says. She was haunted by her recording session for years: "I ended up drinking and using drugs over this for a really long time, because I had this extreme shame and guilt and stuff."

And so it went: one more depraved day in the world of Guns n' Roses. Before they had even finished their first album, the lives of the five band members had become a dark cartoon of indiscriminate sex, property damage, booze and hard drugs.

"It was just hard-core good times," says Slash. "Going out there and doing whatever we wanted." But unlike their poufy-haired peers on the Sunset Strip scene, G n' R managed to transmute their wild times into lasting music: ferocious, sexy hard rock that found common ground between Aerosmith and the Sex Pistols, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the New York Dolls.

Released on July 21st, 1987, Appetite for Destruction went on to sell well over 15 million copies in this country alone, becoming one of the best-selling debuts ever. The album looked both forward and backward: The punky rawness of its sound and the pained artistry of its lyrics made it a bridge between commercial Eighties hard rock and the alternative music of the next decade. But Appetite was also among the last classic rock records to be mastered with vinyl in mind, to be edited with a razor blade applied to two-inch tape, to be mixed by five people frantically pushing faders at a non-automated mixing board. "We used classic instruments and classic amps," says the album's producer and engineer, Mike Clink. "Our approach was reminiscent of stuff that was done in the Sixties and early Seventies." Adds assistant mixing engineer Deyglio, who earned a credit as "Victor 'the fuckin' engineer'" on the album: "It could almost be seen as the last of one of those types of records, from Layla to Abbey Road on down. It could be seen as the last great rock record made totally by hand."

Guns N Roses was a near constant in my teen years. A great band that died because of one man's ego.

Guns N' Roses song mistaken for death threat

A lyric from a Guns N Roses track was mistaken for a death threat by a teacher in America.

The school teacher at the Booth Free School in Roxbury Connecticut thought she was being threatened when she heard the words: “'You’re in the jungle/Baby, you’re gonna die’” over the public address system in the school.

The lyrics from ’Welcome to The Jungle’, heard after hours by the teacher on Wednesday (December 12), led her to call the police and barricade herself in her classroom.

When the police arrived, they found three teenagers playing karaoke with the PA system.

Police handcuffed the teenagers but released them after they children told the officers they were alone in the building and had not meant any harm, reports The Rock Radio.

Sergeant Brian Van Ness told the Associated Press: “These things happen. Lucky it was humorous. You kind of have a gut feeling. As soon as we got there we spoke to the three kids. They understood.”

Ex-Guns N' Roses drummer arrested for drug possession

Guns N Roses' former drummer Steven Adler was arrested in Los Angeles early this morning (July 18) for suspected drug possession.

Adler, 43, was taken into custody by officers after they were called to a Hollywood home where a man was reportedly causing a disturbance and would not leave.

Adler was discovered there and booked for investigation of possessing narcotics, being under the influence and for an outstanding warrant, police spokesman Richard French told the Associated Press.

The drummer, who has a long history of drug use, was jailed on $45,000 bail.

Ex-Guns N' Roses drummer pleads not-guilty to drug charges

Guns N Roses' former drummer Steven Adler has pleaded not guilty to drug possession charges.

Adler, 43, appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court today (August 20) along with his therapist to enter the plea.

The judge ordered him to stay in rehab until a preliminary hearing on a felony charge of drug possession and a misdemeanor count of being under the influence of drugs, reports the Associated Press.

Adler was taken into custody in Hollywood last month but went free on $10,000 bail. His attorney said he's currently being monitored by celebrity rehab specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky.

The drummer has a long history of drug use, and was eventually fired from Guns N Roses.

Ex-Guns N'Roses drummer seeks rehab, and his old job

Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler pleaded no contest on Friday to a heroin possession charge in the hopes of avoiding jail time by entering a treatment program, officials said.

Adler, 43, who was fired from the band over drug problems in 1990, also hopes to reunite with his old bandmates, said his attorney, Barry Gerald Sands.

"When he gets sober they'll accept him into the band and then they'll do a comeback album and a world tour, that's the dream of Steven Adler," Sands told Reuters, after an upbeat Adler entered his plea in Los Angeles Superior Court.

true A representative from Guns N' Roses could not immediately be reached for comment.

Guns N' Roses on November 23 will release the long awaited album "Chinese Democracy," a project lead singer Axl Rose has shepherded through a revolving cast of musicians for years.

Adler is scheduled to appear in court on December 12 to determine if he is eligible for drug treatment instead of jail.

If Adler enters drug treatment, his misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance will be dismissed, the Los Angeles District Attorney's office said.

Adler was arrested in Los Angeles on July 18, after someone called police to report he was causing a disturbance.

He appeared this year on the reality television show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" during an earlier attempt to get off drugs.
