This morning I was incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Mike Peters, the longtime frontman for The Alarm, at the age of 66. I knew he had battled several forms of cancer over the last 30 years, and based on recent updates posted on social media by his wife, it seemed like he wasn't going to beat it this time. He was tough as nails through all of his health battles and his great voice & songwriting will be missed. I'm so glad I saw The Alarm a couple of times. I also saw him fronting a reunited Big Country in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2011, a show that was later released on DVD where my wife & I can be seen numerous times in the front row of the balcony.

Rest In Peace, Mr. Peters. I hope you went out in a blaze of glory.

A very smart man who never gave up (in any endeavour). Rest well, Mike.
