I would guess the window for the Jets passed after last years injury, he was never very mobile but now he is a statue and kind of reminds me of when we had Joe Flacco. I am surprised how inaccurate he has been this season, I don’t believe we have seen a long TD pass this season, the Jets don’t have a long ball threat so teams can just box the Jets in.
Rodgers was very mobile during his Green Bay days. About the only criticism of Rodgers from that time is that he took too many dumb sacks. Other than that, a complete player. Very good arm, could make all the throws, could throw from all different angles when needed, plus-plus football IQ, excellent at extending plays and getting big plays downfield, knew when to run and was effective as a runner, rarely threw dumb interceptions and never threw games away. He followed Brett Favre, who I watched through his entire career, and Rodgers was easily a better player. Favre was way too much into his gunslinger reputation and would lose 3 to 4 games per year all on his own with ridiculous, stupid interceptions. Holmgren controlled him, but Favre pretty much would do any dumb thing after Holmgren left.
IMO Rodgers greatest accomplishment....currently sits 5th all time in TD passes...and is 99th in interceptions thrown.
the 49er's - rams game last night was one of the worst, most boring football games of all time......and it was not because of the weather, neither team played well at all.
the NFL needs to use their flex powers more often.

Huh? That was part of what made him seem like the ultimate hybrid QB before guys like Mahomes, Lamar, and Allen -- he had high efficiency like Tom Brady and big downfield plays like Peyton Manning, but he could also run to get first downs and chunk plays.

Oh, now you've done it. By embedding these videos, the NFL stands to lose about 1/1,000 of a penny per view since they could miss out on advertising revenue from a direct view on YouTube. With annual revenue of only about $20,000,000,000, they need that money. Every penny counts!
And keep in mind, with lower revenue, the Chiefs might only be able to pay Patrick Mahomes $68,664,887.98 instead of $68,664,888 in 2026. So it's not like only billionaire owners are getting hurt, but the little labor guys have to suffer too!

The hapless Jets match up against the even more hapless Jaguars and Rodgers goes off for 3TD/0 INT and a 120 rating...Devante Adams piles up 198 yards, and the Jets finally win a game. Jaguars making a solid run at getting Heisman winner Travis Hunter in the next draft.
On the Colts front -- I thought the Broncos would win this game going into it, but man, what a way to lose. I figured Payton would be carving up our defense with brilliant play calls and AR5 would have a scrappy but ultimately inefficient offensive performance. Instead, they start the game off red hot and they gave me hope. If you told me the Colts were going have roughly 120 yards more offense, 149 yards rushing, and pick off Bo Nix three times, I would have thought they win in a blow out. Certainly not the case.
When JT crossed the goal line to put Indy up 20-7, I thought, "Whoa, this team is turning the corner! Old school JT is back! Finally!" After that was called back due to the idiotic "dropping the ball the split second before crossing the goal line" move, it was just cold slaps in the face the rest of the way. Having Taylor be a core reason we lost this game was a real gut punch since he's one of, if not my my very, favorite player on the Colts right now. I never in a million years thought he'd ever do this -- we see it every season and it's usually some foolish rookie who's too excited to be on a real NFL field.
I think without this play, the Colts aren't desperate enough to attempt that idiotic "Trick Six" play -- that's a 14 point swing right there.
But all that said, it's not the core reason the Colts lost. Other teams have had a single fumble and won the game. The core reason they lost is AR had a crappy game. Two picks and an under 50% completion percentage isn't going to win you a lot of games. But he's essentially a rookie and I can forgive it.
I don't know how I feel about Ballard and the coaches right now. Blow it all up and start over? The Colts have had several "win and you're probably in" games over the past four seasons and have lost every one of them. I think Ballard has drafted some good players, but very few great ones and he never makes any big moves in free agency. I'm just so bummed, what a shitty way to miss the play offs.
Man, look at this insane box score. The Colts with MORE passing yards, MORE rushing yards, MORE time of possession, MORE yards per play, MORE plays run, MORE first downs... and they lose in a blow out. ARGH.

Yep that was better, Aaron finally looked like he had pep in his step, threw well and even ran. Still there was a big drop by Lazard late in the game that might have sealed things earlier (Rodgers has been the victim of drops all season) but at least we had an exciting finish (with an INT from Gardner).
Stats given during the game showed how close their losses have been and it’s a lost season but I still think there is talent on this team, they need the right coach to get it out of them.

That Bills vs Lions game was a fun one. Now there are two teams that I’m rooting for to get into the Super Bowl. It’s about time for the Bills to actually win one and of course the Lions have never been in a Super Bowl. But both have problems, the Bills have to go through KC and the Lions at some point have to deal with the Eagles.

Of those two match ups, I think Buffalo has the much easier road - I just don't see the explosiveness from KC necessary to get into a shooting war with Buffalo. And Detroit's defense is just so banged up that I expect we'll be robbed of Detroit going to the Super Bowl. I also think the AFC path is a lot easier this year. Based on current standings: Bills have to beat Chargers, Steelers and Chiefs Chiefs have to beat Ravens and Bills I only see the Ravens, Chiefs, or Bills coming out of the AFC, with the winner of Bills / Steelers being the likely emergent team.
BUT...in the NFC, the Lions would need to beat the winner of Rams / Vikings, and the winner of GB / Philly to go to the SB. That's a lot more dog fights, and a lot more opportunities for something to go wrong.
there's definitely the chance for some great games on the way though; unlike previous years, where I've thought that the Divisional round is the last week of great football, there's a high probability of great conference finals and SB this year.
Since my Bengals have a defense made up of wet tissue paper this season and are out of contention, my dream matchup is Bills/Lions for the Super Bowl. So most likely it will be the Eagles and Chiefs again. Either scenario, I don't care who wins. In the former however, I'd be tuned in and happy for the winner regardless, but won't even watch if it's the latter.

Same (just switch out the Seahawks o-line for the Bengals D)

Who you gonna root for if the Vikes get lucky and make it to the SB against the Bills? Each four SB's with neither winning any of them.

Boy, I guess it's true -- die the hero or live long enough to be the villain. I remember when the Chiefs were the plucky team whose fans deserved a win after decades of mediocrity.
What about if it's Chiefs v Lions? Or Bills v Eagles? Or heck, Ravens v Vikings?

I'd probably watch those games, and hope for Lions, Bills, or Vikings. Then be disappointed, again.
