They can't miss you if you never leave...

I've long said that about QBs who are good but haven't proven "clutch" or whatever nonsense the media peddles. Once they're gone, you really see how much they brought to the table when the team has to rely on back-up QBs.

can you say deshaun watson????

watson is not missed a single bit, and baker mayfield is in first place.

and the browns don't have a first round draft pick for 3 years......................................

Couldn't happen to a more deserving person. I hope they win without him and cut him (I know, they can't eat the cap loss...but still, it would be satisfying).

I am a Colts fan and have seen Watson at his apex with the Texans -- not sure what happened to that player, but he used to be really special and he might have been worth the high price the Browns paid for him if he still played like that. If you guys got pre-2021 Watson, you'd be right up there with the Ravens and Chiefs as a Super Bowl contender.

I really liked him, even though he was with a division rival, because he donated his game check to a food worker on hard times in the Texans building. I was really shocked when the truth about him came out.

Flacco has shown that the Browns have a pretty good offense so Watson has to get his sh*t together next season or it really is a bust of a trade.

Dolphins loss last night is a bit shocking. Jets play em this Sunday.

Tommy Cutlets gets another Giants win. He does just enough.

Lots of football this weekend, Saturday and Sunday!! :yay:

Watched the Lions & Boys last night. I sincerely though Dallas was going to win until Campbell's guy did the stunning plays in the last 2 minutes. Then.......

That bullshit on Decker not reporting is pure BS. It's on camera. Campbell said he even told the refs about the possibility of that happening during the game.

This is all on the head referee. Head ref Parker Allen can say what he wants but it's obvious to the rest of us that he ignored Decker's report. There's no reason for an OL to go to an official, especially at that point of the game.

Dallas won because the powers-that-be didn't want a loss on the night JJ got into the ring of honor (which was years overdue).

I talk a lot of crap about the Cowboys but it's mostly because of Jerry Jones not letting his coaches coach. Remember, he's also the GM. But watching Dallas play in the last couple of games, they could very well run the table. CeeDee Lamb is the new Randy Moss. I still say Prescott is average on a good team.

Standing in the way of Dallas is Philly and SF. At this point in the season, it's anybody's guess as to how it'll play out.

shocking that jimmy johnson was only in dallas for 5 years.......that's what it had next to his name on the ring of honor thing, sure seemed like he was there a lot longer than that.

i just do not like jerry jones, he reminds me of the plantation owner in django unchained.

I got the refs name wrong. Brad Allen. Why I was thinking Parker is a mystery.

Nope. Five.

If Jerry would hire a real GM, I'd be fine. He's a good owner. Just can't keep his nose out of football operations.

What's the point of buying toys, if you never get to play with them?

Well, all along I was baffled how the Eagles were 10-1 with that horrific defense and now they’ve been exposed as the frauds they are.

Sirianni has become a total clown and the panic move of going to Patricia from Desai calling the defensive plays has backfired even worse than it already was (how is Patricia in the NFL???).

The players are wretched and they have no real LBs.

Signing wash-ups like Leonard and Byard tells you why these bums were available.

Losing to an abomination like Arizona at home was inexcusable.

No way they win a playoff game like this.

Sirianni won’t be fired since he got them to the Super Bowl (and totally blew that game), but he should be.

Everyone loves to fire coaches and cut players, but no one can tell you which coaches and players that are available and interested in replacing them.

I'll say this -- if I was a top coaching prospect and watched the previous coach get fired after making a Super Bowl (and losing by a field goal) and then finishing with a 12-5 or 11-6 the next season, there's no way in hell I'd coach for that organization.

Agreed. A lot of these teams want the championship now. It don't work that way even with the way the bargaining agreements work since the mid-90s. Yeah, one can have a super-team quicker than before but one also loses that edge after a couple of seasons. There's no way a coach can keep it going (except Belichick and maybe Tomlin). Gone are the days where a coach stays in place for years.

Sounds like part of the fanbase in Seattle. Lots of people down on Pete Carroll.

The Eagles are one of the most respected organizations in football.

Any coach would go there.

For anyone wondering why NFL offenses are having a rough year, this video is a nice summation. I remember reading Phil Simms' book and him saying he didn't really watch a lot of film. That seems impossible to do in the modern era. This is a lot of information to process in 3 seconds or less.
